To build the Primera Vintage, Sela took the best elements from the various cajons the German maker serves up and combined them into one best-of-all-worlds cajon. The playing surface, for instance, is based on the Sela Varios Series models and features an extra layer squeezed in between the outer and inner surface for rich sound full of warmth and energy. Just like the standard Sela Primera cajons, this Vintage Red model is made of nine plies of birch.
The Sela Primera Vintage Red Cajon
The Sela Primera Vintage Cajon is aimed at any and all beginners so, whether you're 7 or 70, it's perfect for learning basic rhythms and playing techniques. In addition, Sela have equipped the instrument with their special snare system so the snare wires can be removed as needed, and the whole thing weighs in at less than 5kg and measures 47cm x 30cm x 30cm.
